My sweet boy had his last day that he gets two visits from his daddy.
He's gotten use to having someone spoil him a bit.  He has gotten use to toys to play with.
He's just starting to learn to "hold on" to things as he's never had anything to hold onto before.

He's just learned that someone wants him to try to sit up and that someone will keep giving something back while he tries to figure out how to hold onto it and how to reach without knocking it away.
He's learned that he has a Daddy to help him turn the pages.  He's learned that there is a lady who he sees on the phone and whose voice is inside of a book who calls herself Mommy.  He's learned that Mommy and Daddy say "love" alot and he is starting to think he might know what that English word means.  He is even thinking he likes that word!

He's learned so much about being loved in just 4 days.  Now though, he only has one visit left with Daddy.  Then he will be all alone again.  A very tiny little boy in such a big lonely place.
Daddy and Mommy (via Skype) have to say goodbye tomorrow.  Mommy cries just typing that right now.  To tell him he is loved and then leave him behind seems so cruel.  Yet the paperwork for stage 2 must be done.  :(  Brent is explaining it the best he can, "Mommy will come and get you as soon as she can".  That doesn't stop our hearts from breaking in half, nor does it stop my tiny boy from being all alone.  He will have only the toys left with his "Baba", the things with our pictures, and the book that Mommy recorded for him.  His "Baba" has some other things in a diaper bag to help take care of him as well.   One more visit that Brent has, one more Skype I have with him, then he will just have to hold onto hope while we work with all our might and pray for God's miracles to speed up this process and get him home.  Please pray that his kidney issues are ok until we can get him home and to a kidney specialist as well.  God, please protect our tiny boy that You love even more than us!

    1. Thanks, Susanna. Things are moving so slow right now that it scares me. I need to get him home. Stephanie saw him when they went to get the Visa's. She couldn't believe how tiny he was. Plus he has a kidney issue that we need to address. Pray hard!

  5. I'm praying that the second part of the paperwork is miraculously fast! I SO wish that they allowed the children to wait AT HOME for this step of the adoption!

  6. He is such a sweetheart! Praying things go swiftly and he comes home asap! You can tell how much he loved visits with daddy. What an awesome bond they have already begun. Can't wait for your turn to visit, and bring them home. :)
