Ahnja Day #1

Ahnja is such a personable and sweet girl.  She didn't know what was really going on at first.  One of the workers told her Brent was her "uncle".  (Brent of course had no idea until later)  Then a boy who lives in the group home with her and Brent and his interpreter explained who he was. 

I saw Ahnja this morning on Skype.  She was mainly a blur though!  You want to talk about excitement.  She was trying to talk to me in Bulgarian and carrying the phone around on her ear.  (Who looks into a phone most of the time!?!)  She finally did wave at me and see me in the phone.  She talks CONSTANT!  She is very social and woke up the sleeping children in her group home because she was so excited. 

You will also notice in this video that she is a girl who knows her mind. I can see Julianne being very much like this when she gets older. That little extra chromosome sure does make little girls especially bossy! :)

Here you can see that she was VERY excited about her shirt with a picture of her mommy and daddy on it!  She also claimed the picture album very quickly and made sure to keep it with her even when Daddy left.  :)

I can't wait to get to know her better this week and especially on my trip!  I think I may have to learn some Bulgarian for this little cutie, because she is TALKATIVE!
