*In case you don't know the process and terms, the "commitment papers" are not to commit us to some crazy farm for having 18 kids and being ready to adopt again. ;) They are the papers where we are requesting the government of their country allows us to commit to adopt them. This is a packet explaining a lot about our family, the adjustment of the other children into our family, and our preparedness to adopt again. It also explains how the 3 children that we are wanting to commit to will fit into our family. It gives details about our family and tells where in the process we are and how soon our homestudy will be ready to go off to USCIS.
So who are we asking to be allowed to commit to?
Presley is 3
Carson is 6
Thad is 9
Those are only their online Reece's Rainbow names. We will be choosing new names, so we are actually working on that now. Please pray that the commitment papers are accepted, that
They are all so cute! Thad looks so tiny in that picture :(
ReplyDeleteI have hoped and wished for these souls of Pleven to be adopted by families who will know how to care for their sometimes intense needs after years of neglect. Come to find out they will be moving into a family who is more than prepared to help them make this transition! I ache for the fact that I am too young to adopt, even with this desire inside me telling me to do the opposite of what I'm legally allowed to do. I cannot think of a better-suited family to commit to these children. Soon they, too, will be able to say "I am part of a family!" "I am loved!" "I have a mommy, a daddy, and amazing siblings!" Finally getting the care, love and affection they so desperately deserve. It is your family that is moving mountains, saying to that government and orphanage, "These children matter! They are worthy, they are amazing, they are lovable. They deserve a family and all the benefits that brings." You see what others are not able to see. You see the potential that each and every child has. Even if they come home and are able to do nothing more than give and receive love, that will be more than enough.
ReplyDeleteOhh, I have been praying and praying for Thad! I am so happy to see that you are his family! I will pray for your commitment papers.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! God is good and He has a plan. We are just happy to be a part of it!
ReplyDeleteSorry this comment is a little late, but I was catching up on blog reading and wanted to say congratulations! I'm very happy for you and your newest soon-to-be additions. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind letting me know, I would love to know what adoption agency you're working with! My husband and I are working hard to choose one. My email is wholeatlast@juno.com. Thank you!
